Two More Go Through: NBA Playoff Recap for May 15

Steph Curry proved tonight why he is one of the leagues most potent scorers with 8 three-pointers made and a win in Memphis against a fired-up Grizzlies team to close out the series. Earlier, the Hawks advance despite a last-second three-pointer from Paul Pierce that was ruled to be just too late in replay review.

The game started out close and the Hawks dominated in the second quarter. The second half started out close while the fourth quarter was nearly even and it came down to the final shot – a tying three-pointer from Paul Pierce that was just behind the buzzer. Washington shot a mere 36.6% from the field. Atlanta was led by DeMarre Carroll with 25 points, 10 rebounds, Jeff Teague with 20 points, and Al Horford with 13 points. The Wizards were led by Bradley Beal with 29 points, and John Wall with 20 points, 13 assists.

Memphis ran out in the first and it was a tight second quarter. The second half started out close while the fourth quarter was nearly even and the Warriors fought to put away the Grizzlies. Memphis shot a mere 37.4% from the field, however they held on to the ball much better, giving away only 3 turnovers to 12 for Golden State. Golden State was led by Stephen Curry with 32 points, 10 assists, Klay Thompson with 20 points, and Draymond Green with 16 points, 12 rebounds. The Grizzlies were led by Marc Gasol with 21 points, 15 rebounds, and Vince Carter with 16 points.
