We're All Tied Up: NBA Playoff Recap for May 6

The Cavs came out much more aggressively, taking an early lead and going wire-to-wire against a docile Bulls team. Meanwhile in Houston, the Rockets and Clippers combined for 96 free-throws in a drag-it-out game that finished with a huge Rockets win to take the series to 1-1 headed to Los Angeles.

Cleveland jumped out to the early lead in the first quarter and it was a tight second quarter. The second half started out close while the fourth quarter was nearly even but the Cavs never trailed and won easily in the end. Cleveland was led by LeBron James with 33 points, Kyrie Irving with 21 points, and Iman Shumpert with 15 points. The Bulls were led by Jimmy Butler with 18 points, and Taj Gibson with 11 points.

Houston jumped out to the early lead in the first quarter and the Clippers dominated in the second quarter. The third quarter was owned by the Rockets and Houston finished with a strong fourth quarter to get the huge win and tie the series at 1-1. Houston won the rebounding battle handily, 54 to 40. Houston was led by Dwight Howard with 24 points, 16 rebounds, James Harden with 32 points, and Trevor Ariza with 15 points, 13 rebounds. The Clippers were led by Blake Griffin with 34 points, 15 rebounds, and DeAndre Jordan with 16 points, 12 rebounds.
