The Nets Tie it Up: NBA Playoffs Recap for April 28

With the injury to Mike Conley, the Blazers took advantage and got an important home win to take their series to 3-1. Elsewhere, the Nets won in OT to make it 2-2 with the #1 seed, and the Bucks got their second straight to force a game 6 at 3-2.

The game started out close and the Hawks dominated in the second quarter. The second half started out close and Brooklyn finished with a strong fourth quarter to push it to overtime. Brooklyn got the win in the first overtime period with big shots by Thaddeus Young and Bojan Bogdonovic. Atlanta won the rebounding battle handily, 55 to 40. Brooklyn was led by Deron Williams with 35 points, Brook Lopez with 26 points, 10 rebounds, and Joe Johnson with 17 points. The Hawks were led by DeMarre Carroll with 20 points, 9 rebounds, and Paul Millsap with 16 points, 12 rebounds.

 

Milwaukee Bucks 94 (41-41)
Chicago Bulls 88 (50-32)
Final

The game started out close and it was a tight second quarter. The second half started out close while the fourth quarter was nearly even and the Bucks maintained a lead most of the game to get the win. Chicago shot a mere 34.4% from the field. Milwaukee was led by Michael Carter-Williams with 22 points, 9 assists, Khris Middleton with 21 points, and Zaza Pachulia with 9 points, 10 rebounds. The Bulls were led by Pau Gasol with 25 points, 10 rebounds, and Joakim Noah with 10 points, 13 rebounds.

 

Memphis Grizzlies 92 (55-27)
Portland Trail Blazers 99 (51-31)
Final

The game started out close and it was a tight second quarter. The Grizzlies outscored Portland in the third and Portland finished with a strong fourth quarter to overcome Memphis and get the win. Portland won the rebounding battle handily, 50 to 40. Portland was led by Damian Lillard with 32 points, Meyers Leonard with 13 points, 13 rebounds, and C.J. McCollum with 18 points. The Grizzlies were led by Marc Gasol with 21 points, and Courtney Lee with 19 points.
