NBA Preview - November 17-23

After a great week from the Spurs, a comeback week from the Cavs, and a heartbreaking week from the Kings (other than a great win against the Spurs), we have a defining week for the Grizzlies and Clippers to look forward to.

Below is an exciting match up per day for this coming week that you should check out:

Monday, November 17th – Rockets at Grizzlies, 8:00 pm ET on NBA League Pass

The two teams with the best records in the league battle. The inside matchup features Howard versus ZBo and Gasol, with Courtney Lee and Mike Conley versus the Beard. This is a great night of basketball, with the Bulls-Clippers also promising to dictate the next few weeks of NBA commentary.

Tuesday, November 18th – Pelicans at Kings, 10:00 pm ET on NBATV

A short night leads to two of the most fun teams in a matchup that gains importance with the playoff race seemingly moving past OKC and opening up a new slot in the West. The Brow versus Boogie (I need a t-shirt with that, please) promises to be a great matchup, and the supporting casts from both teams add to the intrigue.

Wednesday, November 19th – Spurs at Cavaliers, 7:00 pm ET on ESPN

The test of the year for both teams. Many picked these two to meet in the finals, and with both teams coming off great weeks where they pulled into shape, this promises to be a doozy.

Thursday, November 20th – Clippers at Hear, 8:00 pm ET on TNT

While the Heat are not the team they were last year, they’ve still shown signs of promise. Bosh’s play has returned to Toronto levels in terms of stats, and assuming Wade plays, they make a formidable opponent. The Clippers come in having not yet met the expectations for this year (finals or bust), but still 5-3 and always dangerous.

Friday, November 21st – Bulls at Blazers, 10:30 pm ET on ESPN

The Bulls circus road-trip hits full gear with the Blazers. Rose and Aldridge should both be back by this matchup, and it promises to highlight both teams’ style – strong scoring guards and solid big men.

Saturday, November 22nd – Mavericks at Rockets, 8:00 pm ET on NBATV

Both the Mavs and Rockets have had great starts to the season, but this game is personal for Chandler Parsons. His return to Houston should be interesting, and with his new crew (Tyson Chandler, Dirk, et al) versus Houston’s revamp (Harden, Howard, Ariza, et al) this promises to be the game of the week. Check out Raptors at Cavs too – the Raptors are just now starting to face some tougher competition.

Sunday, November 23rd – Clippers at Grizzlies, 6:00 pm ET on NBA League Pass

Two of the best in the West – after a trying week for both teams. By this point, we’ll know if the Grizzlies are for real, and if the Clippers have it in them this year.
