This time we will focus in one of the most gifted wingers in England who comes from Brazil and, at 20 years of age, is already attracting the interest of some of the top teams in the world. We are talking about none other than Richarlison.

The Brazilian forward has been one of Watford’s best players and forms a great wing partnership with Andre Carrillo. But there’s no question Richarlison grabs most of the headlines. He joined Watford as a highly-touted, yet unknown Brazilian prospect and several experts had doubts on whether he was ready to play in England. However, Richarlison quickly shut his doubters with a series of impressive displays that has some of the top squads in the world watching him closely.

But where did Richarlison come from? He is a product from America Mineiro youth team but joined Fluminense before the start of the 2016 season. He thrived for Fluminense, but also looked impressive for Brazil’s U20 squad, registering three goals in 10 matches. A jump to a bigger club was inevitable, and Watford pounced on the chance. They signed him for a relatively modest €12.4 million fee, and he has already exceeded expectations.

During the current season. the 20-year-old winger already has five goals with three assists in 12 Premier League appearances. Those numbers are impressive for any player, but things get even better when we consider his age and the fact he had never players outside Brazil in the past. He adjusted quicker than anyone would have predicted, and it’s not a surprise to hear about teams already enquiring about him.

Tottenham Hotspur want to sign him as soon as possible. But they are not the only team looking at the Brazilian winger. Arsenal have also entered the race to acquire him, and there are rumors of teams in both Italy and Spain targeting him as well.
