After giving up a 20+ point lead in the fourth quarter, Paul Pierce banked home a game-winner on a broken play to end the game. Later in Memphis, the Grizzlies exploited poor shooting by Golden State and fed Marc Gasol to get a win at home and take the series lead 2-1.

Washington jumped out to the early lead in the first quarter and it was a tight second quarter. The third quarter was owned by the Wizards and Atlanta stretched the Wizards in the fourth quarter but the game winner from Pierce shot down the huge fourth quarter comeback. Washington was led by Nene with 17 points, Marcin Gortat with 14 points, and Otto Porter with 17 points, 9 rebounds. The Hawks were led by Dennis Schroder with 18 points, and Jeff Teague with 18 points.

The game started out close and the Warriors were outscored in the second quarter. The second half started out close while the fourth quarter was nearly even but the Grizzlies held off the Warriors for the win. Memphis was led by Zach Randolph with 22 points, Marc Gasol with 21 points, 15 rebounds, and Kosta Koufos with 8 points. The Warriors were led by Klay Thompson with 20 points, and Stephen Curry with 23 points.
